Kingswood Homes (UK) Ltd was established in 2009 with a view to developing small residential projects throughout the North West of England. The company, which is privately owned, was started by Paul Jones and Stephen Heaton with the help of a private investor Alastair Salt, all of whom felt there was a gap in the market for a high quality residential developer helping to regenerate local towns by providing much needed housing.

Kingswood Homes (UK) Ltd has continued to grow and has now been constructing high quality family homes in great locations throughout the North West of England over the past eight years.

The success of Kingswood Homes has been recognised with a Best Business award in 2014 for the best small – medium sized business in the Building and Construction category.

Green Hills Blackburn is designed by one of the UK’s most celebrated design teams led by a husband and wife couple, in Gerardine and Wayne Hemingway, with true local roots. Green Hills Blackburn is their first housing project in their native North East Lancashire. The lead architects are another husband and wife team, Jane and Mark Massey of IDP. Together HemingwayDesign and IDP have worked together on housing for 17 years, winning a myriad of national and international awards.

The overall architectural identity responds to the interface between town and country and conjures up images of the traditional Pennine Lancashire village. Two village greens are stepped into the hillside to provide flat focal areas in which the developing community can use for play and events. Village streets step up the moor providing an attractive and engaging backdrop to sculpted public spaces.
