Christmas at Greenhills
We were delighted to welcome a very special guest to Green Hills when Father Christmas himself paid us a visit.
As well as bringing a sack full of treats for the children, Santa performed a very important role on the night – switching on the Christmas tree lights on the new village green.
All the new residents at Green Hills were invited along to the event to enjoy some mulled wine and live festive music from singer and pianist Jennie Sawdon.
We managed to grab a word with Santa before he flew off back to Lapland:
He said: “Even though Christmas is a very busy time for me and the elves I couldn’t miss this event at Green Hills.
“All the children seem to love playing on the brilliant new village green, which is plenty big enough for my reindeer to graze.
“The parents certainly seemed to enjoy the gluhwein and it was great to see so many of them enjoying the evening, meeting and chatting with their new neighbours.
“I get to see a lot of new developments flying all around the world on Christmas Eve but it’s safe to say Green Hills is the very best – loads of green open spaces, fantastic spacious homes and beautiful bespoke designs.
“I can’t wait to return in a few weeks to deliver all the presents. Ho ho ho.”
Kerry Webster, Kingswood Homes’ sales adviser, added: “Green Hills is not just a new development, but a new community and having the space to hold events like this allows people to get to know their new neighbours.
“There can’t be many other developments with a village green and its very own Christmas tree and we hope the event will be even bigger next year when more residents have moved in.”
